Package: systemd
Version: 44-10
Severity: normal

systemd is not the kernel, yet it logs to the kern facility:

vauxhall ok % grep systemd /var/log/kern.log
  Mar 10 18:39:48 vauxhall systemd-logind[1776]: New seat seat0.
  Mar 10 18:39:48 vauxhall systemd[1]: rng-tools.service: control process
exited, code=exited status=1
  Mar 10 18:39:48 vauxhall systemd[1]: Unit rng-tools.service entered failed
state.

  Mar 10 18:39:48 vauxhall systemd[1]: Unit hotkey-setup.service entered failed

  Mar 10 18:39:49 vauxhall systemd[1]: Startup finished in 2s 246ms 420us
(kernel) + 4s 989ms 838us (userspace) = 7s 236ms 258us.
Mar 10 18:40:03 vauxhall systemd-logind[1776]: New session 1 of user bmc.
  Mar 10 18:40:03 vauxhall systemd-logind[1776]: Linked /tmp/.X11-unix/X0 to

  Mar 10 18:40:04 vauxhall systemd[1]: [/lib/systemd/system/udisks2.service:3]
Unknown lvalue 'Documentation' in section 'Unit'. Ignoring.

syslog(3) says:

LOG_KERN kernel messages (these can't be generated from user processes)

systemd is not the kernel, so it should be using a different facility.
When I browse kern.log, it should contain only messages from the kernel.
Please fix systemd so it logs properly.
