For #554156 here is some more info on mpd and pulseaudio:

Upstream recommends configuring mpd audio output to to point at
pulseaudio running on localhost and then use paprefs to enable network
access for localhost.

which if mpd is configured to listen on loopback doesn't open things
up to other hosts on the network, but does sort of assume that the
system only has one user (or that all users should be allowed to
access pulseaudio).

I find it weird that this might result in a system wide service (mpd)
accessing a user run service (pulseaudio). It would be nice to come
up with a better way of solving this by default, especially now that
pulseaudio is the default audio service.
