Package: ooohg Version: 09.12a-8 Severity: minor Dear Georges,
a survey of the files distributed in Debian identified ooohg as one of the rare packages where some file names are encoded in a different character set from ASCII or UTF-8. This means that on recent Debian systems, the users will not be able to display the file names correctly. UTF-8 has been the default encoding for file names on Debian systems for a while, and Unicode (which UTF-8 implements) is widespread on many commercial systems (Windows, Mac, ...). Do you think it would be possible to convert to UTF-8 the file names in your package that are using other another encoding, or better, to convince the upstream developer of OOo.HG to do so ?
