Package: base-installer Version: 1.130 Hi,
Installing wheezy-amd64 using netboot image (through pxe) or using the mini.iso fails with a red screen "Installation step failed". Installing using debian-testing-amd64-netinst.iso works. Steps to reproduce this issue: 1. Install a new wheezy-amd64 machine (i reproduce the error on servers and VMs) using a - netboot image : http://ftp.fr.debian.org/debian/dists/wheezy/main/installer-amd64/current/images/netboot/netboot.tar.gz or - mini.iso : http://ftp.fr.debian.org/debian/dists/wheezy/main/installer-amd64/current/images/netboot/mini.iso 2. Go through the installation, during the base-install a red screen will show a "Installation step failed" Relevant parts of /var/log/syslog : ... net-retriever: Signature made Tue Mar 26 14:23:33 2013 UTC using RSA key ID 473041FA net-retriever: gpgv: net-retriever: Good signature from "Debian Archive Automatic Signing Key (6.0/squeeze) <ftpmas...@debian.org>" net-retriever: anna[1799]: DEBUG: resolver (ufsutils-udeb): package doesn't exist (ignored) anna[1799]: DEBUG: resolver (ufsutils-udeb): package doesn't exist (ignored) anna[1799]: DEBUG: retrieving apt-mirror-setup 1:0.77 anna[1799]: DEBUG: retrieving apt-setup-udeb 1:0.77 anna[1799]: DEBUG: retrieving base-installer 1.130 ... debootstrap: Setting up tasksel (3.14+nmu1) ... debootstrap: Setting up tasksel-data (3.14+nmu1) ... apt-install: Queueing package keyboard-configuration for later installation apt-install: Queueing package console-setup for later installation base-installer: Get:1 http://ftp.fr.debian.org wheezy Release.gpg [836 B] base-installer: Hit http://ftp.fr.debian.org wheezy Release base-installer: Ign http://ftp.fr.debian.org wheezy Release base-installer: Get:2 http://ftp.fr.debian.org wheezy/main amd64 Packages/DiffIndex [7876 B] base-installer: Get:3 http://ftp.fr.debian.org wheezy/main Translation-en [3855 kB] base-installer: Fetched 3864 kB in 1s (2862 kB/s) base-installer: Reading package lists... base-installer: base-installer: W: GPG error: http://ftp.fr.debian.org wheezy Release: The following signatures were invalid: BADSIG AED4B06F473041FA Debian Archive Automatic Signing Key (6.0/squeeze) <ftpmas...@debian.org> in-target: Reading package lists... in-target: in-target: Building dependency tree... in-target: in-target: The following NEW packages will be installed: in-target: locales in-target: 0 upgraded, 1 newly installed, 0 to remove and 0 not upgraded. in-target: Need to get 5712 kB of archives. in-target: After this operation, 15.5 MB of additional disk space will be used. in-target: WARNING: The following packages cannot be authenticated!
