There is no xulrunner-9.0 in Debian anymore for quite some time before the freeze. The bug-report dates from shortly after the freeze. Conkeror usually follows the most recent xulrunner versions (except currently for http://bugs.debian.org/699239 which will be fixed with the next upload) and uses xulrunner-10.0 in Wheezy/Sid currently. So the xulrunner compatibility is very likely not the reason for this issue.
