Package: suck
Version: 4.3.2-11
Severity: normal
File: /usr/bin/suck
Dear Maintainer,
after upgrading from squeeze to wheezy I get this error from get-news:
dbzinit: can't open .dir file: No such file or directory
Ther get-news errorlog contains a better hint for this error:
Can not open /usr/news/db/history, Skipping
Using -HF /var/lib/news/history as suckoptions in
/etc/suck/get-news.conf avoid the error messages.
But /usr/share/doc/suck/README.Debian is telling a different story:
Suck has been compiled with the defaults options except for :
Default location of history file : "/var/lib/news/history"
(can be overridden from command line)
strings -a /usr/bin/suck|grep history
/usr/news/db/history
