Package: mtp-tools Version: 1.1.6-1 Followup-For: Bug #696513 Hi,
I'm not entirely sure if this is related, but I managed to make MTP worked to my Android phone by adding my user to 'lp' group (and make sure it is also in 'audio' group as well). Prior to this, I experienced same PTP_ERROR_IO with a lot of message like this in syslog: usbfs: process NNN (mtp) did not claim interface 0 before use Hope this helps.
