This applies to (at least) all test cases which fail for #687264 as well. Actually, only the test cases 1.1.1.1, 1.1.2.1, 1.1.2.2, 2.1.1.1, 2.1.2.1, 2.1.2.2 and 3.1.1.1 work fine (out of 41). As such, this should probably also be considered serious. On the other hand, all test cases will fail (instead of hanging in an infinite loop) with the patch (the other test cases require at least two MPI processes), so I am not 100% sure about the severity.
