Hi, Can this be forwarded to upstream, please? It's been four years since the report and I don't see it tagged as such.
I understand the bug is classified as wishlist, but it causes problems anyway for certain users. User may have accounts configured that are not desirable for a regular check: i.e. alternative accounts that should only be consulted explicitly because they are meant to be read and processed somewhere-else and deleting the messages daily on server is unacceptable, or accounts that receive messages that aren't meant to be read regularly, either because they would clutter the inbox or are old accounts that should only be fetched on request. This is indeed my case. Please, take care so this can be solved.
