Well, consistency on the translation is indeed your problem..:-). I would recommend you translate "United States of America" to whatever it is, in full letters, in Swedish....and particularly not omitting "Of America". To say it in other words : marking this bug report as "wontfix" will get my support. "Fixing" it by using the the Swedish equivalent of "Great-Britain" will make me reget this but I have no way to enforce it on the person doing the translation. Still, using bogus names when translating things that are very official and very important, like country names would be a very bad precedent. What we would then do if we learn for instance that the Persian translator of iso-codes did translate Israel to something like "those imperialist jewish pigs"? The best quality of a translator is to be neutral. So, my advice: - don't change the translation of UK - fix the translation of US (ssems to be "Amerihká ovttastuvvan stáhtat" :-)
