Hi Jean,

have you tried the latest version of k3b from unstable?  The version you are
using (from stable since k3b has been temporarily removed from testing) is
quite old and unfortunately has quite a few bugs.  There isn't much we can
do about that version, but if you can reproduce the bug in the latest
version, then I will forward the bug to the attention of the upstream
developers.

Also, you might want to have a look at the following bug on the upstream bug

If this sounds like your problem (related to 64-bit machines), then feel
free to add your own observations.
