gbirthday's upstream Makefile installs to /usr/lib/python2.6/site-packages/. If gbirthday is rebuilt from source using a python package that has dropped Python 2.6 as a supported version, this means that /usr/share/python-support/private/movemodules no longer moves it to /usr/share/pyshared, which means that it ends up not being installed to anywhere in the default interpreter's module path, and is entirely broken as a result.
2.6 is no longer a supported version in unstable. If you rebuild gbirthday, you get a broken package. I'm bumping severity accordingly.
