Hi, In the backlog of this bug there seems to be two different problems, one seems to be a framebuffer miss configuration issue, sadly the messages were not quite verbose, so, whenever there is a problem writing to the framebuffer it would print: using linux console font "/usr/share/consolefonts/lat1-16.psf.gz" ioctl FBIOGET_CON2FBMAP: Invalid argument" '' " In newer versions prints: using linux console font "/usr/share/consolefonts/lat1-16.psf.gz" ioctl VT_GETSTATE: Inappropriate ioctl for device (not a linux console?) That's starting fbtv inside a X session, for example. The other problem seems to be due a the long standing issues with nvidia cards, that part is more a kernel/nouveau/bumblebee/nvidia-glx issue than a issue for fbtv. So I'm closing this bug. Please feel free to reopen this bug if you can still reproduce it with current version of fbtv, newer kernels and you still believe that the issue is in the fbtv code.
