I agree, that doesn't look right. Please send me your /etc/approx/approx.conf 
file.
Also, if you can add "$debug true" to it, and then send me the
relevant portions of /var/log/daemon.log when running "apt-get update"
on your jessie machine.

No, that shouldn't be necessary.  I've done that upgrade myself and the cache 
was fine.
