Package: mplayer
Version: 2:1.0~rc4.dfsg1+svn34540-1+b2

After updating my old i386 server to wheezy, mplayer hangs
when closing the alsa sound output for a video, and cannot
proceed to the next video.

System Configuration:
  Intel Pentium M 2 GHz, i386 computer
  Sound and graphics on-board
  Intel Corporation 82801FB/FBM/FR/FW/FRW (ICH6 Family)
High Definition Audio Controller (rev 04)
  Debian wheezy
  Alsa sound
No pulse or other sound engine installed

To reproduce, I can call mplayer with any two video files
on the command line.

The bug does not depend on the video format (flash, avi,
transport stream). It does not depend on the particular
videos; it's the same for any videos.

The bug does not appear if I select -ao null or
-ao pulse (which gives no sound); in this case, switching
to the next video works.

The bug does not appear on my 64-bit machine with wheezy,
for the same video files, also with pure alsa sound output.

The bug does not appear when quitting mplayer with the 'q' key.

When the bug appears, mplayer hangs after the first video.
When killing it with Ctrl-C, it reports:
Mplayer interrupted by signal 2 in module uninit_ao.
