Please follow the NMU guidelines (see Developer's Reference ยง5.11). debdiff should be posted to the BTS before the package was uploaded. Also, I see no reason to upload without delay, especially since the bug was marked as pending, and the correct fix was already committed to the package repository.
Posting a diff and upload with reasonable delay would have allowed your peers to spot bugs in your upload, like these:
