Package: wnorwegian Version: 2.0.10-5.1 Severity: normal Dear Maintainer,
The word lists appear (according to file(1)) to be encoded in ISO-8859, instead of UTF-8, which is as I understand it the standard encoding and is used in other word lists such as those of en_GB. The difference in encoding means grep fails to find or print any words containing characters outside ASCII. I understand that the best choice of encoding is a little subjective, but I feel that the various word lists' encodings should at least match. Thanks, Connor PS. debconf calling Nynorsk 'Standard Norwegian' is a little gutsy. -- System Information: Debian Release: 7.0 APT prefers testing APT policy: (500, 'testing') Architecture: i386 (i686) Kernel: Linux 3.6.5-linode47 (SMP w/4 CPU cores) Locale: LANG=en_GB.UTF-8, LC_CTYPE=en_GB.UTF-8 (charmap=UTF-8) Shell: /bin/sh linked to /bin/dash Versions of packages wnorwegian depends on: ii debconf [debconf-2.0] 1.5.49 ii dictionaries-common 1.12.11 wnorwegian recommends no packages. wnorwegian suggests no packages. -- debconf information: wnorwegian/whichvariant: bokmaal shared/packages-wordlist: wnorwegian/languages: nynorsk (Standard Norwegian), bokmål (Bokmal Norwegian) -- To UNSUBSCRIBE, email to [email protected] with a subject of "unsubscribe".
