libsdl2 (1.3 was renamed to 2) is now packaged in Debian and apparently about to see the official release after many years waiting. I don't know if Neverball will work against it, but perhaps you can give it a try. Backporting a fix doesn't look likely, SDL2 accumulated many years of changes over the 1.2 API. If upstream didn't backport it in the stable releases is probably for a reason. Although if somebody can create a patch for it, we will look into incorporating it. Cheers. -- Manuel A.
