Understood but if upstream won't fix it what is the point of having
the bug in Debian?

1) to show that this bug is known, that WE DO CARE, and have a visible reference to this *still affecting* problem and the corresponding upstream bug report, while a closed bug with drop into the darkness of the BTS archives.

2) in hope upstream or a future upstream maintainer, or some Debian folk, or even us, would be willing to fix this. There's still hope.

3) in fact it may also be considered a very low security bug, as you could probably craft a special save game and execute what you want.

If you won't at least keep it with upstream+wontfix tag, then i'm off taking care of this package, as this is not how i handle things in my packages. I don't move bugs away until they are fixed, or the package or related feature becomes obsolete. This is not a threat, this is just not how i want to do my job in Debian, nothing personal. You may ping me on IRC if you want to discuss this and our co-maintainership.

Regards.
