Package: openvpn Version: 2.3.1-2 Severity: normal My openVPN configuration was heavily reliant on per-client configuration, and some certificates had spaces in them.
Previous versions of openvpn required/allowed to replace spaces by underscores in the CCD directory, but the latest version (2.3.1-2) no longer does so. This means that our per-client configuration completely broke, to the point of making the network completely unusable at two sites. I think at the very least the upgrade script should detect such a situation and warn the user to rename the files. I don't think it can be done automatically because the underscores might actually be in the certificate. However just having known this up-front would have been extremely helpful. johannes -- To UNSUBSCRIBE, email to [email protected] with a subject of "unsubscribe". Trouble? Contact [email protected]
