Package: speechd-el
Version: 2.5-5
Severity: normal
File: /usr/lib/emacsen-common/packages/remove/speechd-el

If an emacs flavour other than emacs23 and emacs24 is installed then

    dpkg --purge speechd-el

fails with

rmdir: failed to remove `/usr/share/emacs21/site-lisp/speechd-el': No such
file or directory

I think the remove script should not fail if the things it wants to
remove are already gone (or never existed).

Some elisp add-ons ignore failure with "rmdir eldir || true". Some
forcibly remove the directory with "rm -rf eldir". Personally I
probably favour ignoring, on the off chance the sysadmin has
intentionally put extra stuff in the directory.

(The emacsen-common example remove is a bit doubtful in this respect
too. I'll file a bug there.)
