libmysqlclient15-dev *is* conflicting with libmysqlclient14-dev at least as of
version 5.0.15-1 and IIRC since the beginning. libmysqlclient14-dev is maybe
not conflicting with libmysqlclient15-dev reversly but that should not 
matter, or?

Robert, do you know which version of libmysqlclient15-dev you had installed
when I try to reproduce it, it works as libmysqlclient15-dev gets removed:

        $ sudo apt-get install libmysqlclient14-dev
        Reading package lists... Done
        Building dependency tree... Done
        The following packages will be REMOVED:
          libmysqlclient15-dev
        The following NEW packages will be installed:
          libmysqlclient14-dev
