Hi,this seems to be a problem with the m4 macro. check uses acx_pthread.m4 but the same problem seems to be available in ax_pthread.m4 from the autoconf archive. A bugfix (which can be easily ported to acx_pthread.m4 from check) is available here: http://savannah.gnu.org/patch/index.php?8081 . I'll forward the bugfix to check upstream and prepare a patch for the debian package.
