Well under linux-image-3.91, xawtv 3.103-1 didn't crash. But it still failed to display a video from a webcam. It opened black window and after quitting it, there remained messages on a terminal as follows; This is xawtv-3.103, running on Linux/x86_64 (3.9-1-amd64) xinerama 0: 1280x1024+0+0 vid-open-auto: using grabber/webcam device /dev/video0 Alsa devices: cap: hw:2,0 (/dev/video0), out: default v4l2: oops: select timeout Further, downgrading xawtv 3.102-3, it works fine.
