Package: awesome
Version: 3.4.13-1
Severity: normal
Dear Maintainer,
I wanted to make use of the Xephyr development method described in
the wiki, but then found my changes to my rc.lua.new being ignored.
Then I moved my rc.lua out of the way and signalled awesome,
resulting in the default awesome theme being applied. I then moved
in my rc.lua and changed a menu entry, signalled awesome, and the
change was reflected in Xephyr. But as per the command line, awesomee
should not even read this file:
$ ps auwwx|grep aweso
toni 3841 0.0 0.1 157420 12192 pts/11 S Jul01 0:00
/usr/bin/awesome -c /home/toni/.config/awesome/rc.lua.new
Oh, and in case awesome would automatically fall back in case of
errors:
$ awesome -k rc.lua.new
✔ Configuration file syntax OK.
Kind regards,
--Toni++
PS: Installing the version from experimental looks like too much of
a disruption atm. :/
