I've tried 'rootdelay=15' and indeed, this was enought for allowing the computer to boot. But this leads to some questions :

1) is this the correct behavior ? I'm booting debian on this PC since the 2.6.39 kernel (maybe older ?), and I've never encountered this problem…

2) should I fear before upgrading other computers ? How could I check if this regression can happen ?
