Source: php5 Version: 5.5.0+dfsg-4 Severity: important php5 cannot depend on libsystemd-daemon-dev when it gets build on a system which is not linux. systemd is Linux exclusive. Doing so will make it fail on the official architectures. hurd-i386, kfreebsd-amd64 and kfreebsd-i386. In other words: It will make this package unsuitable for testing. This makes packages depending on php5 unsuitable and thus makes other maintainers angry because their software is now unsuitable for testing. Now it continues with angry user -> bashing of maintainers -> maintainers even more unhappy -> .. -> little kittens are hurt.
Is it possible to change this dependency to: libsystemd-daemon-dev [linux-any], And btw. it would be nice to have the current debian version in git. Otherwise this Vcs stuff makes no sense at all. --- System information. --- Architecture: amd64 Kernel: Linux 3.9-1-amd64 Debian Release: jessie/sid 500 unstable http.debian.net 500 testing www.deb-multimedia.org 500 stable security.debian.org 500 stable http.debian.net 1 experimental http.debian.net --- Package information. --- Package's Depends field is empty.
