The fact that the gnome metapackage in wheezy depends on xul-ext-adblock-plus means that it indirectly conflicts with icedove, since the version of xul-ext-adblock-plus in wheezy conflicts with the security-updated icedove. There is already a bug filed against xul-ext-adblock-plus (#715222). However, it's not clear when it will be updated, and this problem might happen again (when the icedove ESR switches version).
