Package: winbind Version: 2:3.6.6-6 Severity: important Tags: upstream Dear Maintainer,
After attempting to upgrade from 3.6.6 to 3.6.15, winbind no longer authenticates again a W2K DC. This appears to be Samba bug 9615. I have asked on the Samba list several times if this will be changed or if W2K auth is now deprecated, but, so far, none of the devs have responded. The original poster of the bug has submitted a patch, but also has not received a reply. Do any of the Debian maintainers have any information on this bug or its status? Until, I can resolve this, I have locked Samba and winbind at 3.6.6.
