Hi, (Somehow my subscription to bug 709971 did not forward your recent mail to me. I found it by Google.)

The improved time measurement might a give clearer view on the symptoms. Granularity is much finer and the timestamps will tell whether libburn stalls at other occasions than waiting for an SCSI transaction call ioctl(SG_IO) to end. So repeat the tests which showed the problem. Show me the resulting log files. After those logs are generated and inspected, the problem probably will leave my realm of driving optical drives. It looks like a kernel i/o queue congestion. You will have to look for kernel experts who are interested in debugging this behavior. I will be ready to explain to them what libburn or growisofs are doing. (Cc me when you have found interested developers.) Have a nice day :) Thomas -- To UNSUBSCRIBE, email to debian-bugs-dist-requ...@lists.debian.org with a subject of "unsubscribe". Trouble? Contact listmas...@lists.debian.org
