In addition, I had an email conversation (link to thread is escaping me,
at the moment) about removal due to their license statement [0] that
"You are bound by the Root Distribution Licence for any re-distributions
of CAcert's roots." [1].

I was convinced by others that the certificates cannot be licensed,
since they are essentially mathematics, but it still bothers me that we
are not following their license, which may be non-free.

Apologies for a quick reply, without some essential details about the
conversation - I will dig up those details, as soon as I can, and send
them along to this bug. Also, I am not a lawyer, so my opinion was based
on layman reading of the CAcert license.
