We're getting this error regularly. On the newest Wheezy kernel, it seems to
completely lock up the server. On the 2nd most recent kernel, we just get the
error but it doesn't lock up the entire server (so far). It seems intermittent
because I can't get it to happen just by running ps. The error is randomly
reported from a cron job that runs ps inside of the script cron is calling.

Here is what we know:

procps-ng version is 3.3.4

ps version is reporting that it's 3.3.3 while other utilities from the same
package report 3.3.4.

poller:~# ps -V

procps-ng version 3.3.3

poller:~# watch -v

watch from procps-ng 3.3.4

poller:~# free -V

free from procps-ng 3.3.4

Thank you,

Chris Haley
