You need to learn about how to do this other than via this private discussion. It seems to be handled by storing a JPEG chunk with the computed ID JPEG_APP0+2.

Suffice it to say that Photoshop and other software which cares (e.g. ImageMagick & GraphicsMagick) has been doing this stuff for many years.
