Package: uptimed
Version: 1:0.3.3-8
Severity: minor

1) /etc/init.d/uptimed does not use the PIDFILE setting from
/etc/uptimed.conf (or any other pidfile) because the the calls to
start-stop-daemon miss the --pidfile argument (and the config file
is not used at this point).
2) Simply adding the argument doesn't help either because uptimed is
invoked as user daemon from /etc/init.d/uptimed, and this user has no
write permissions on /var/run (default setting for PIDFILE in
   /etc/uptimed.conf).
