Package: smbclient Version: 3.0.14a-3 Severity: normal
smbclient is supposed to write its output to standard output unless the -E option is specified. Then it is supposed to write to standard error. The version of smbclient in sarge is writing to standard error, unlike the previous version in woody. This means scripts that need to capture the output for logging have to include the option 2>&1 to pass the output to standard output. -- System Information: Debian Release: 3.1 Architecture: i386 (i686) Kernel: Linux 2.4.18.020204+ipchains Locale: LANG=en_US, LC_CTYPE=en_US (charmap=ISO-8859-1) (ignored: LC_ALL set to en_US) Versions of packages smbclient depends on: ii libc6 2.3.2.ds1-22 GNU C Library: Shared libraries an ii libcomerr2 1.37-2sarge1 common error description library ii libkrb53 1.3.6-2sarge2 MIT Kerberos runtime libraries ii libldap2 2.1.30-8 OpenLDAP libraries ii libncurses5 5.4-4 Shared libraries for terminal hand ii libpopt0 1.7-5 lib for parsing cmdline parameters ii libreadline4 4.3-11 GNU readline and history libraries ii samba-common 3.0.14a-3 Samba common files used by both th -- no debconf information -- To UNSUBSCRIBE, email to [EMAIL PROTECTED] with a subject of "unsubscribe".
