Package: synaptic
Version: 0.80.2
Severity: important

I have a menu entry which basically runs synaptic with gksu (gksu synaptic).
Once started it locks up after 2-3 minutes of use. Closing the window doesn't
kill the process, so I have to use pkill under sudo. I tried opening synaptic
through sudo and that doesn't cause it to lock up. I checked my logs and I get
a bunch of entries with:

(synaptic:3307): Gtk-WARNING **: GtkNotebook 0x23f8370 is mapped but visible
child GtkLabel 0x2484560 is not mapped

These also appear when I open it through sudo. I tried disabling the compositor
but that didn't help. I managed to find the same issue on launchpad (bug:
#1178024). It's currently marked as unresolved.
