Package: synaptic Version: 0.80.2 Severity: important I have a menu entry which basically runs synaptic with gksu (gksu synaptic). Once started it locks up after 2-3 minutes of use. Closing the window doesn't kill the process, so I have to use pkill under sudo. I tried opening synaptic through sudo and that doesn't cause it to lock up. I checked my logs and I get a bunch of entries with:
(synaptic:3307): Gtk-WARNING **: GtkNotebook 0x23f8370 is mapped but visible child GtkLabel 0x2484560 is not mapped These also appear when I open it through sudo. I tried disabling the compositor but that didn't help. I managed to find the same issue on launchpad (bug: #1178024). It's currently marked as unresolved. -- System Information: Debian Release: jessie/sid APT prefers testing APT policy: (500, 'testing') Architecture: amd64 (x86_64) Kernel: Linux 3.9-1-amd64 (SMP w/2 CPU cores) Locale: LANG=en_US.UTF-8, LC_CTYPE=en_US.UTF-8 (charmap=UTF-8) Shell: /bin/sh linked to /bin/dash Versions of packages synaptic depends on: ii hicolor-icon-theme 0.12-1 ii libapt-inst1.5 0.9.9.4 ii libapt-pkg4.12 0.9.9.4 ii libatk1.0-0 2.8.0-2 ii libc6 2.17-7 ii libcairo-gobject2 1.12.14-4 ii libcairo2 1.12.14-4 ii libept1.4.12 1.0.9 ii libgcc1 1:4.8.1-2 ii libgdk-pixbuf2.0-0 2.28.2-1 ii libglib2.0-0 2.36.3-3 ii libgtk-3-0 3.8.2-3 ii libpango1.0-0 1.32.5-5+b1 ii libstdc++6 4.8.1-2 ii libvte-2.90-9 1:0.34.6-1 ii libx11-6 2:1.6.0-1 ii libxapian22 1.2.15-2 ii libxext6 2:1.3.2-1 ii zlib1g 1:1.2.8.dfsg-1 Versions of packages synaptic recommends: ii gksu 2.0.2-6 ii libgtk2-perl 2:1.247-2 ii policykit-1 0.105-3 ii rarian-compat 0.8.1-5 Versions of packages synaptic suggests: pn apt-xapian-index <none> ii deborphan 1.7.28.8 pn dwww <none> ii menu 2.1.46 pn software-properties-gtk <none> ii tasksel 3.16 -- no debconf information -- To UNSUBSCRIBE, email to [email protected] with a subject of "unsubscribe".
