Not running as root, implies --all (lists all opportunities)...
Error downloading data file: Connection refused - connect(2)


>From the source I see it is trying to download 
HELPITEMS_URL = 'http://localhost/udd/how-can-i-help.json.gz'

but I don't even have a web server installed, nor would it find this file if I 
did
