Hi Dave,

i must correct myself. I interpreteted the logrotate configuration wrongly. The problem occurs everyday when logrotate is run. Although there is a "weekly" option the command "zopectl logrotate" is called every day. This hangs the zope process. I will add a "zopectl force-reload" to get it running again.

Then show us what zope was doing when it stops responding.

I can try to debug the zopectl action. But I never did that before.

If that's not possible, perhaps a list of all the zope products
installed, and any customized code you have, might give me
a clue, but the debugging output is definitely the best.
(Of course there's the chance you won't be able to reproduce
the problem with the debugger, but it's worth a try.)

Also, are you able to try zope2.7 (in Debian unstable)? That's a lot more current than zope 2.6 is, so maybe
the problem has already been fixed.

I was thinking about that. Maybe I will try it.

Christoph
