Package: scandetd
Version: 1.2.0-1
Severity: minor

After a failed attempt to restart, due to a syntax error in the conf-file:

  # /etc/init.d/scandetd restart
  Starting portscan detector: scandetd
scandetd: Syntax error in /etc/scandetd.conf (line 105)

and correcting the error, a new attempt to restart scandetd will warn:

  # /etc/init.d/scandetd restart
  Stopping portscan detector: scandetd
start-stop-daemon: warning: failed to kill 891: No such process

If scandetd would clean the pid-file (created dispite the syntax error)
that warning would not show up.

Cheers,
Cristian
