FYI: I have patched version of gnome-settings-daemon here :-) http://bugs.debian.org/cgi-bin/bugreport.cgi?bug=721362 So this may be another factor. Also, keyboard configuration segfault bug is fixed by new gnome-desktop3 (3.8.4-1). With these, I am OK now.
