Package: aptitude Version: 0.2.15.9-7 Severity: normal
Sometimes I install packeges from outside the original debian repository because, for example, there isn't an official package yet. When I later remove those packages and remove the source line from "sources.list" the packages still show up when using "aptitude search". An example: I once installed some packages called openoffice.org2-<writer|calc|etc>, but although I replaced those packages with the official ones and removed the apt source they still show up when using the command "aptitude search openoffice". -- System Information: Debian Release: testing/unstable APT prefers unstable APT policy: (500, 'unstable') Architecture: i386 (i686) Shell: /bin/sh linked to /bin/bash Kernel: Linux 2.6.14-1-k7 Locale: LANG=en_GB.UTF-8, LC_CTYPE=en_GB.UTF-8 (charmap=UTF-8) (ignored: LC_ALL set to en_GB.UTF-8) Versions of packages aptitude depends on: ii apt [libapt-pkg-libc6.3-6-3.1 0.6.42.2 Advanced front-end for dpkg ii libc6 2.3.5-7 GNU C Library: Shared libraries an ii libgcc1 1:4.0.2-3 GCC support library ii libsigc++-1.2-5c2 1.2.5-5 type-safe Signal Framework for C++ ii libstdc++6 4.0.2-3 The GNU Standard C++ Library v3 Versions of packages aptitude recommends: pn aptitude-doc-en | aptitude-do <none> (no description available) -- no debconf information -- To UNSUBSCRIBE, email to [EMAIL PROTECTED] with a subject of "unsubscribe".
