I synced 147000 messages from alt.anonymous.messages. The CPU usage was 100% but it finished in a reasonable time, so that may be ok. The display didn't update during the sync, so when I put a shell window above the icedove window and then put icedove to the front, the image of the shell window was still in the icedove window until the sync was finished. The progress indicator remained at '1 of 147000 messages' during whole approximately 30-60 seconds. Users shouldn't have to wait that long with a frozen window as they might worry the program crashed. This is icedove 17.0.7 of debian wheezy/stable. Unsubscribing a.a.m took a little while, too and a window popped up telling me that a script is unresponsive and asked if I wanted to quit it or leave it running. You may close the bug if you think it should be closed. Thank you, Bernhard -- Encrypt emails.
