Followup-For: Bug #718401 Unfortunately even the 'pkill gnome-panel' "workaround" seems to work only once for me. The second pkill causes a 'something has gone wrong, please logout' message.
The same problem can be observed without fiddling with plugs by switching the primary display with xrandr. xrandr --output LVDS1 --primary and the right-hand side of the panel is not visible on the laptop screen (and additionally http://bugs.debian.org/cgi-bin/bugreport.cgi?bug=605437 or something equivalent). pkill gnome-panel; xrandr --output HDMI1 --primary and the panel takes only part of the external monitor, with a gray strip to the right of it. pkill again and you have to logout. -- MichaĆ Politowski Talking has been known to lead to communication if practiced carelessly. -- To UNSUBSCRIBE, email to [email protected] with a subject of "unsubscribe".
