Package: freeorion Version: 0.4.3-1 Followup-For: Bug #719496 I can confirm this bug ( I'm using Xfce).
I tried to change the x11_keyboard_grab to true in OISInput.cfg and that allowed me to input text in freeorion, but then the keyboard didn't work with any other app outside freeorion: xterms, editors, firefox, ... When I close freeorion, the keyboard works again.
