Package: emacs-snapshot-gtk Version: 1:20051103-1 Severity: normal When I visit an UTF-8 file with cyrillic text in it, and I try to do C-s (isearch-forward) with cyrillic characters as argument, it fails when there is actually a match in the buffer.
For example, if the buffer contains: "*** 1. Да живей живей труда!" then iserach-forward: труд fails with message "Failing isearch: труд". Strangely, search-forward with "труд" argument succeeds when there is a match in the same buffer, but isearch-forward fails. The problem does not occur with digits, latin letters or special characters. isearch-forward succeeds when searching for "1." in the above example buffer. I've tried with other environmens and noted the following: 1. emacs-snapshot with X widgets has the same behaviour as emacs-snapshot-gtk (isearch-forward fails when it should not). 2.
