I did and it was crashing. For some unknowable reasons though now it
has stopped crashing for last day or two. Have no idea what changed
in-between (except that I have been doing testing updates, but apart
from that no change.) Still using the 0.33 from unstable and testing.

 $ apt-show-versions -a subtitleeditor
subtitleeditor:amd64 0.33.0-2 install ok installed
subtitleeditor:amd64 0.33.0-2 testing      debian.ec.as6453.net
subtitleeditor:amd64 0.33.0-2 unstable     debian.ec.as6453.net
subtitleeditor:amd64 0.41.0-1 experimental debian.ec.as6453.net
