Package: bup
Version: 0.25~rc3-1
Severity: important
Justification: FTBFS

Hi,

bup FTBFS on kfreebsd and hurd. According to the build logs[1] it's the
test suite which fails and around the failing tests, there are tons of
these warnings:

Warning: POSIX ACL support missing; install python-pylibacl.

Despite python-pylibacl is available[2] on kfreebsd as well as on hurd,
too, the build-dependency on python-pylibacl is marked "linux-any". This
has been introduced in 0.25~rc2-3, but no reason for the change was
given in the changelog:

bup (0.25~rc2-3) unstable; urgency=low

  * Build-Depend and Depend on python-pylibacl and python-pyxattr only on
    linux-any.

On my kfreebsd-i386 box, bup builds fine with python-pylibacl
installed. So I suggest to remove the architecture restriction on
python-pylibacl to make bup build on at least kfreebsd
again. (JFTR: python-pyxattr was not installed during the build.)
