Yes, freemind worked fine some time in spring this year.
I forget exactly when.

I can't think of a way to work out what. No other application has
exhibited any even remotely similar symptoms, aside from freeplane,
which appears to just be a variant on freemind.
Do you know of other applications that use the same UI toolset, that I
could test out to see if they have the same problem ?
