Package: mysql-server Version: 5.5.31 My app needs a mysql socket in /tmp/mysql.sock
So I start digging thru the config files and see: File: /etc/mysql/my.cnf # Remember to edit /etc/mysql/debian.cnf when changing the socket location. [mysqld] socket = /tmp/mysql.sock ... File: /etc/mysql/debian.cnf # Automatically generated for Debian scripts. DO NOT TOUCH! Should I actually touch the untouched /etc/mysql/debian.cnf and which is the kosher way to change a socket place? I suggest the proper instructions should be placed in these files. -- С уважением, Дмитрий А.
