The description for mt-st says:
"Mt-st diverts (replaces) the GNU version of mt, in the cpio package."
However, it seems that the "mt-st" package actually installs an
alternative for "mt", alongside the GNU version.
I'd suggest replacing "diverts (replaces)" with "provides an alternative
to".
